Destiny
Destiny
The sun crept slowly, but its anger shovelled a bit early. Caira curfews hugging her legs curled in the couch. An hour chat with her friend swara drew her past life and her coagulated dreams in the midst of her blur vision. Destiny is unsolicited. Varun is both perfect and kind, but caira never had the courage to talk to him about her desires. Rejections always haunted her. Now at the age of 32, married and with a kid the passion once rooted deep within her finds branch to creep up.
Growing up she had always wanted to taste the job of a journalist. Oration always crowned her. With the best outgoing student award from Madras university and an offer to Times of India, she married Varun. That knotted her dreams, shuffled and cracked behind her mind. A stingy thing still haunts her. And she tries to overcome it by building up the courage to talk to Varun about her dreams. But she is shielded with fear. She is aware she has turned from the flamboyant, exuberant girl to a homemaker.
Today her flesh burned, guilt grits and she decides she has to talk to her husband about the need for her identity. Drown in thoughts, a distant voice startled her. "Mom it's getting late. Have you prepared my lunch?" her daughter jade's words draw her to reality. She hurries towards the kitchen, cursing herself. The sun drowns in allegation grinning.
There are many girls who leave their career for the fear of society and in the compulsion of their family. Girls your career designates you. Never leave your passion at any situation.
