Death Of Pearl- Part 2

Dear Diary,

In previous story, I had written, how Prince Daniel, a vampire saved my life and also warned me not to touch the bark of mahogany tree which joined his vampire world and our human world. He presented me a quill with which I am writing in you. Let’s see what happens next and if would I be able to find my answers shielded with touch of Mahogany tree.

I closed my BFF which I only share with Elena; and rested my head upon it. Feeling discontent and trying to suppress many unanswered questions. Was Daniel safe? Or hunters were preying him for me. But why he was going against his subjects. He was a vampire. He could drink my blood instead of saving me.

I should better go and change. Might be frustration will be flushed out with changing of clothes. I wore my beautiful red dress with silver lining at its end and two rose flowers embroidered at the top. I grabbed all my hair in bun and tightly secured them with my favorite red flower pins. Getting a new look when you are upset was best meditation for me.

My house was empty as usual. Everyone had their important chores to attend, so I picked my pen and diary and walked to the Clavender Park to freshen up. The shade of Mahogany tree grew me big. I was being picked up by my adoptive parents under it when I was lying callously. Might be that was the reason, I was so fond of these three things- my parents, Elena and Mahogany tree. For me, Mahogany tree was my parents.

I sat under the shade of tree. Sun was setting down. Children were descending to their homes. Some of them waved me but a blubbery boy was running towards tree with pencil in his hand. I hate that boy a lot and his wide grin gave me the idea of his plan. He usually hurt my tree when he wanted to supply pain to me. I rushed towards him leaving diary and quill on the floor. I fought with him to snatch his pencil in front of the tree but before my strength could do anything. He gave me strong push with his fatty belly. He chuckled, I cried. He ran back and I was pulled inside tree. I forgot the warning instructed by Daniel. Though, on one side, my pain increased while on the other side, my heart throbbed hard.

Sooner, when I opened my eyes, I was completely in a new place. It was dark in all three sides with ceiling at my hand distance. I saw light coming from fourth side. I followed it with my body rolling and it stuck hard to a table. I was under the bed but before my senses came into new environment, a jiggling jug got upside down with full of blood. I protected my face with crossing of arms but it was useless. Prince Daniel appeared before me and drank the whole in one sip. He wiped out his face and looked over me with his hunger surfacing. I slide back, he smiled back.

“Don’t worry, I drank the blood and now I am now no longer hungry.”

He offered me his hand. I stood up and smoothed my dress. Prince was gazing me from bottom to top. His glancing prevailed in my work.

“So, could you drink my blood too, when you are hungry?” I said with shudder in body and distress in words.

“Don’t worry. There would never such situation arise.”

He assured me but I was in clear doubt on his words. He took my hand in his and indicated me to go back from where I had come. But I refused, I want an answer that why he was against his own subjects.

“You should not know this and neither you are safe here. Let me tell you, you are in the palace of Eldoren. The queen’s eyes must not fall upon you.”

“But queen is your mother. I must say, there is no one big than our own parents.”

“My father is died and he crowned to queen to rule over was his last wish. When dad was here, everyone was happy and get filled their appetite…”

“You mean blood of human beings”

“Yes but no”

My hatred grew with reaching at its peak. All the vampires were same. Might be his tummy was filled and thus, he saved me for later.

Before he could excuse more, a sharp knock on the door.

He indicated me to hide but I protested. Two soldiers along with a royal person entered. Daniel bowed down.

“Live long Queen!”, he bowed down and indicated me to run.

“My lady, you seemed to be Daniel’s friend. We are really fond of human beings. And you not worry. We live with humans peacefully. So, live long as you like.” Her soft words described her as opposite to what Prince had thought in his mind.

“No, she is going now.”

“NO, Daniel. She will live with us. What do you think, my girl?”

I thought this as a best moment to know more about this world and about the people but Daniel’s soft eyes and attracting face ordering me to leave place much sooner.

“I would like to go. My parents must be waiting for me.”

“Soldiers chain this girl. These human beings don’t understand our sentiments.”

Both of the ugly and dangerous boys dragged me to chain after ignoring thousands of requests. I must listen to Daniel. They locked me in the cell where a human couple was bounded with hard chains.

“Another prisoner, these people should not do this.”

“Who are you?”

They both laughed on my question and bowed down their heads. They must have suffered a lot. But why were they alive. Why these vampires not suck blood from them? What they want exactly?

I switched on the light to make cell little visible. The room glowed but it has stains of blood all over.

“See, these stains of our kind. They are so horrific that we close these lights all day and nigh…”

Words struck in their mouths. They both gazed my pendal and ran towards me but fall due to injuries in their knees. I ran towards them and helped them to sit comfortably but thy pulled me towards them and hugged tightly.

“My daughter, you are back. How are you?”

“We thought, they killed you. Where have you been?”

I got to know that they were my real parents but before the answers can reached to my ears. A blubber came and locked me in another cell. I cried, bite his hand but he was following his ruthless harsh queen.

I would struggle hard and find out who my parents were and the reason for the couple calling me their daughter.
