Death of Innocence

There is this kid who smiles phenomenally, is playful in nature, is less self-conscious, has the ability to quickly forget pain and smile back again. It isn’t the physical appearance, intelligence or talent that makes him adorable but his innocence and ability to trust everyone around implicitly. He is simple, straight, open and transparent.. filled with all the love that seeing him around everyone feels like being joyful and carefree, appreciating his uniqueness. 

And now comes the tragic twist in the tantalizing tale with the world casting itself as a murderer, with its weapons being the set of rules, protocols, norms and a fixed pace of monotonous routine. 

What after that..!

The world, aggressive, at its own pace doesn’t recognize, realize or revere the beauty of that kid rather plunges him in the pool of biological, cultural, environmental factors. The society portrays itself as a factory that hires employees neglecting the merits of uniqueness and creativity. 

And now is the time to honor that kid, the newest member of the rat-race club incentivized with a lifetime membership and that is another asset lost to the globally trending scam. 

What a Shame..!

This kid is someone amongst many of us, families, neighborhood, workplaces, etc. 

So, what do we need!?

A change? Yes. Absolutely. And we, this generation, are the very people supposed to bring about this change. Take care, that kid might just be around you somewhere.
