Daughter-in-law

Looking through the window, Sunanda was awaiting her husband with teary eyes to become eloquent.

Holding bridal tears and bridal laughter, she had come to form the new world, with a dream that she would get the affection from in-laws.

But all her dreams mingled with dust, when both father-in-law and mother-in-law who had pretended to act like parents taunted each moment for dowry. 

Many a time, mother-in-law had slapped her forgetting that she was also a woman.

Threatening not to open her mouth in front of her parents, she was forced to work like a non-stop servant. 

Quaffing the poison of hatred, she had never told anything to her own parents.

Not to give her parents a hint of doubt, she had veiled all her unhappiness, disclosing nothing. 

But today, the situation had become worse as the obdurate in-laws had beaten her black and blue, demanding money and plot.

The merciless beating had broken her, and she had decided to unfold everything to her highly qualified and caring husband.

As the calling bell chimed and the husband was ushered by the time, holding him she dropped tears, revealed every torture she had faced.

The innocent husband hushed her with love and embosoming her, threw lalochezia towards the duplicate he had employed till date.

Knowing that time had come to unmask himself, he slapped her saying, wasn't it the duty of your parents to give plot and money to a highly qualified son-in-law? The situation had shocked and shuddered her and life had become bland, as she looked through the window to search her identity.

Her eyes declared to the world silently that daughter-in-law would never be a daughter at any cost.
