Child's Unfulfilled Wishes
Child's Unfulfilled Wishes
There was a 12-year-old boy who had a lot of money to spend and enjoy his life. He lived in a mansion and studied in one of the best schools in the country. He was his teachers' and friends' favourite. Everyone at school loved being around this sweet kid. His way of talking was so impressive that everyone loved listening to his chit chat and laughter.
However, after coming back home, he had no one to share his talks with. His parents were always busy with their work. Helpers at home helped him with his food and daily routines. At night also, his parents used to come home late. On some days, coming home was also not possible for them. They were so occupied with their business and work that they never realised how lonely their son was. Before going to bed every night, the boy shared his feelings with the stars and the moon only.
No one else in his family was interested in taking out time for him. Though he had all his toys, games and friends with him, he still missed being with his parents. The parents thought that toys were enough for a child to be happy. They never understood that nothing can replace parents' love for a baby. Their busy schedule had left him alone in life. In public, he kept his smiling face but from inside he was sad, very sad. Not only on Christmas Eve but every night he waited for his Santa to come and fulfill his only wish - time and love of his parents.
On a lucky day in his life, a maidservant came to his place and started taking care of him. Though she was appointed as a helper only, the boy loved sharing his feelings with her. When she came to know about the child's loneliness, she took steps to bring the parents closer to the child - sometimes by telling them that he was not well and sometimes by calling them and falsely telling them that the child was getting spoiled because of wrong company.
The parents thought that one of them would have to be with the boy to guide him on the right track in life. The mother of the boy decided to be with him always. Now the boy was happy that at least after coming back from school, his mother wanted to know about his friends and what all he did in school.
Then within a few days only, the angelic helper, made the parents realise through her great ideas and stories how important it was for a family to have at least one meal together in a day and to talk their hearts out to each other.
The boy now started living happily with his parents and a friend like helper. So be it in school or at home, the boy now always had a smile on his face, a bright and whole-hearted smile.
Now, every night before going to sleep, he looked at the stars and the moon and thanked God for making him lucky to be with his parents happily.
