Better Than The Rest
Better Than The Rest
IF YOU WANT TO BE THE BEST YOU HAVE TO WORK HARDER THAN THE REST
This is the story about a girl whose name is BINDU.
Life is all about how you make efforts to be the best in everything.
Life is not about being perfect or best. Its all about the efforts we make to be the best among the rest.
It was a heavy raining evening I was so stressed about the job pressure.
Basically I resides in Bangalore in an apartment and I am a MBA graduate and living a comfortable life with my family.
I work in a american based company as a finance consultant which fetches me a salary of Rs.125000 per month. Company has decided to impose some rules which was reason for my concern which increased my work pressure. I take one-on- one clients which is my other source of income. Still i was feeling something was missing in my life. I was unsure about the reason for such feeling. Feeling so depressed with the thought I decided go on a evening walk to feel better. I was walking on a street and reached a near by park decided to spend some quality time.
I was thinking about the life and phases of life i was going through.
Meanwhile my eyes were stuck to one girl who was little girl selling vegetables.
My eyes were stunned and my legs wanted to go near her. With the tearful eyes I went to her and started speaking to her.
She introduced herself as Bindu kumari.
She was 8years old. As she was speaking with me, I felt some positive vibes from her. She was playing and she was busy and happy in her own world. She was happy with her life. After seeing her I understood that I have many things to learn from the little girl. After seeing them wholeheartedly i wanted to know more and more about them.
I was purchasing some Vegetables from her mother whose name is Kokila. As my conversation begun with her mother she started to tell how her daughter is her strength and how she is struggling so hard to give best education to her daughter Bindu.
She started sharing her past story.
Basically they were from some interior parts of karnataka. Bindu's father was alcoholic. When Bindu was born she was healthy like every other child. Due to her father's misconduct she was thrown out of the moving train due to which she has severe injuries in her right leg and bedridden for 2 years. Later she took all the courage to move from the bed and move with the help of wheelchair. When she wanted to join school she was insulted and underestimated and some big schools charged her heavy fees.
Yet she never lose her hope and trying so hard to earn money and complete her education.
After hearing all these i just felt how we are never respect what we have and always concentrate on some uncertain things. That day I decided to take responsibility of Bindu's education and support her.
This gave me more satisfaction than my high return job gave. Life is all about being happy and spreading happiness. For me that girl is not only better, but she is also better than the rest of the world.
It's always great to take some small positive steps and implement in our life which set us apart from all the crowd.
You may be better than the rest, but you are not a success until you have made the effort to become the best you can be.
