Because I Am In A Meeting

All of us have faced it. We have been there and we are still dragging through our daily lives having accepted the inevitability of sitting through mind-numbing presentations/meetings where some non-self aware dictator with zip knowledge about conducting a meeting rants non stop.

I love-hate my work. The thought of getting up for work is like a daily tug-o-war between the number of works that I have to and would like to accomplish and the acceptance of the inevitable that it may never be done within the time frame I want to .......Because I will be in a meeting.

A meeting is where a group of people come together to discuss issues, to improve communication, to promote coordination or to deal with any matters that are put on the agenda and to help get any jobs done

The irony is that no work ever gets done......Because I am in a meeting.

A report is to be generated, an important mail is to be sent out, a crucial call is disconnected, food-water and even the vital washroom breaks are forgone......Because I am in a meeting.

My patience, my sanity, my tolerance and my bladder have been/are being tested and stretched.

A human can only endure much and I am yet to witness a break-out as I sit watching the pained expressions of my colleagues which cannot be voiced.......Because we are in a meeting.

Blessed are the meek and silent for you shall receive the monthly paycheck
