Angels in disguise

So, it's that time in life when we question or very existence as also 'Why Me ?'. We crib and rant that everything is going wrong in our lives. We cannot party, cannot attend weddings, cannot celebrate festivals or birthday parties and cannot go on holidays.

We see people falling like nine pins, pandemic has created havoc in our lives. We cannot step out of our homes because we want to be safe. We are scared to meet anyone lest we catch the infection.

And then one day my water filter gets spoilt and the sewer line gets choked. What should I do ? I can't call any technician home as he may be a carrier. So, I order drinking water from the market , but as days go by it becomes difficult to sustain that. How much water to buy from the market ? It is so hot . So ultimately we decide to call the technician to repair the water purifier. We are scared that he might infect us whereas he has the same fear of us infecting him. Well, he still comes and rectifies the system and we sanitise the lift and the door and the kitchen for our mental peace. Angel no 1

The sewage guy is not such an issue as he doesn't come in our contact. The sewage is on the ground floor and the guard is assigned the task to get the work done. We sh

ould be safe whether they are is not our concern. Angel no 2 & 3

My doctor niece goes to her covid ward and checks on patients. She may be wearing a PPE kit and gloves etc , still she keeps her patients above her own health. She gets infected, stays home, recovers and again goes back to her patients. Angel no 4.

We are so bored of eating home cooked food so we order food from a restaurant . It is delivered on time by a rider. I know it's his job and he cannot work from home , still he is delivering food to our homes risking his own life. We should be thankful but nobody thinks about him. Angel no 5

There are so many angels in disguise helping us glide through our lives while we work from the comfort of our homes, the sweeper who cleans our streets, the ambulance driver and his team ferrying people across to hospitals and the unfortunate ones to the morgues, the nurses and all the health care workers working tirelessly to save lives while giving up their own, the volunteers who just want to help people, the police who are always blamed but still work tirelessly.

We need to fold our hands in gratitude and salute these angels who come to us in a disguise. We are blessed to have them around us.
