Alakazam

There is a semi-lit room, there are a bench and a chair facing opposite to each other (someone on a bench can see the face of someone sitting on the chair and vice-versa).    Two men are sitting on a bench, on the left side, Henry Hardwood is sitting and, on the right, Edward Feugo is sitting. On the chair, opposite them, Allen Gallagher is sitting.   

ALLEN: "Hey, my name is Allen."         

HENRY: "Hello, so truly speaking, you are the first dude to believe that I REALLY have superpowers."      

ALLEN: "They are not just superpowers, they are gifts, given to you by the GOD, same like you we have amongst us Mr. Edward Feugo."              

HENRY: "He has superpowers too,"(he turns his face to Edward)"sir, what's your superpowers."      EDWARD: "I don't want to do this, please Allen."     

ALLEN (smiles wickedly): "Mr. Henry Hardwood, tell me about your powers."             HENRY: "First of all, they are not powers, they are superpowers. So, you have studied about bats and how they sent some noise and when it hits something, it comes back as an echo, so they don't need to see, their ears are their eyes, it's known as echolocation and that is my superpower and also like you must see a negative image maybe with a smartphone and it must be scary for you but my eyes perceive the same, they see in negative and actually, it's cool if you learn."  ALLEN: "Beautiful Henry, please Eddy, let him know, he felt different just like you, let him know he is no different." 

Edward sees Henry, closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath.

EDWARD: "Fine, I lack myostatin, it is a protein which inhibits muscular growth, my body doesn't produce it so there are no limits of my strength, when I 8months I could do a pull-up, and yes you are no different."      ALLEN: "See Eddy, was it so hard and you just removed the boundary of feeling different."        HENRY: "Guys, I am having a feeling that you two know each other, is it true, it could be my power to guess."

Edward and Allen stare at each other.

ALLEN: Henry, you know what Eddy thinks, that you and he are not special, these powers are just better, to serve those who discarded you."            EDWARD: “We need to be put in check. All we could do is to help as much as we can, if something is given can be taken back if not done wisely, I know how that goes."      ALLEN: “How you know that helping or serving others is the best, maybe it's wrong, if we take into consideration you are right, I say just do what you seem right in your eyes and trust me if you believe you are right then there is no one to take it away from you."          HENRY: “You know, you could've said yes, we know each other rather an arguing and I agree to you Grallinid’s up to us to decide for our power."          EDWARD: “You two can do whatever you want, I am not going to be a part of that."

ALLEN: “You still miss her." EDWARD: "SHUT YOUR MOUTH"  ALLEN: “Catherine was unlucky to marry you but you won't hurt me because that's what heroes do, don't hurt others."  HENRY: “What is happening? What are you guys talking about? Is Mr. Edward some kind of hero and who is Catherine?"   ALLEN: “Will you tell him about her Eddy or I'll start."  EDWARD: “You are not going to talk about her. I’ll tell you, boy, my life is Hella lot different than you imagine. I trained myself for about 3 years after graduation and at 26, I decided to be a vigilante, I got married to Catherine when I was 29 and we both decided I'll be earning at day and heroin at night." HENRY: “Sir, did you have a code name to gain fear for criminals." Allen passes a smile.      EDWARD: "THE OBSIDIAN"

     SCENE ENDS

Henry claps and smiles in joyous.       EDWARD: “She made a costume, out of a tracksuit and helped me more often in some investigation too. But, one day a gang broke into my house and almost shot her, I saved her and decided to get divorced. I didn't want her to be in danger but still, even after that they tried to kill her but it soon stopped so I knew for sure that we're better apart."  HENRY: “So emotional, a true story of love."(wiping off his tears) ALLEN: “That was his origin story, sad with hopefulness but mine is a joy with hopelessness."        HENRY: “It’s so amazing, he is a hero, and am guessing you are the villain, who am I, will my story decide it or what."  ALLEN: “You remember what other kids used to call me."  EDWARD: “Yes, and I helped you and punch them and take all responsibility for that."         ALLEN: “This is the reason I started hating you, my pointy nose and obsession to carry those spoons, that name made me realize my true self and you beat those who called me that cause you never wanted me to get better than you."     EDWARD: “Than hate me, why try to kill my wife, she has nothing to do with that."           ALLEN: "A true arch-nemesis never attacks a hero, he attacks his heart, she is the only one in your life."    HENRY: “So, you guys are like hero-villain stuff, I mean a true one like killing wife and what did they call you."   ALLEN:"ALAKAZAM"           HENRY:"Ooohhh... The Obsidian, Alakazam is this some kind of comics and what is mine, The Sonar or Negative..."   ALLEN (with a big smile): "How about MR. NEGATIVE, that is amazing, we are starting to be somewhere." 

Allen stands from his chair, takes out a taser, and incapacitates Edward and he faints. Allen grabs Edward and puts him in his car. He comes in talks to Henry.

ALLEN: “Eddy thinks that we are no better than average men, but you can help me, there is going to be. well, that is surprising, are you going to help me or not to become and be known as Alakazam and Mr. Negative, what do you say, partner."     HENRY: “If I'll get an amazing costume then I will do it." ALLEN: “Of course, I have the perfect, negative version of Obsidian."

Allen goes towards his car and gives Henry a bag and leaves in his car with Edward unconscious.           After an HOUR        Edward opens his eyes and finds himself in his room. He sees, there is something on the table. He saw that there is a photo of the wife with a big red cross and a note saying 'Hello Eddy, I want The Obsidian to be at that old water factory, that my father owned, today at 0900, you've probably 60 to 90 minutes, if you don't appear, the consequence of your action will be lethal for Miss Catherine Feugo and I know that you'll probably don't want it. See you soon.' Edward looks in the mirror and then sees his cupboard, he walks towards and opens it, he kneels down to his costume and thinks to himself, he takes it out and dusts it off.   There are different emotions in his eyes, anger for Allen, care for his wife, eagerness, and fear to wear the costume again. He sees in the mirror and smiles.

SCENE ENDS

Allen, dressed as Alakazam is sitting on a chair at his father's old water factory. Edward, like Obsidian, enters from the main door.          OBSIDIAN: “Where is SHE?"         ALAKAZAM: "Well, I thought to bait a fish. The bait was not available but the fish came on its own. Well, Mr. Negative is not here."              Obsidian stares at him in confusion.       ALAKAZAM: "Henry is set off on a mission to slaughter all the people at Federal United Bank. I know you won't want that, show them that there exists someone to protect them, maybe you'll find the bait."           OBSIDIAN: “Why to bring me here?"        Alakazam laughs melancholy.         ALAKAZAM: "Clocks ticking."         As Obsidian was about to leave, all the lights went out and he felt something hit him from behind. Someone started to beat him from behind but he kept up with him. Alakazam was continuously laughing. Suddenly, the lights went on and Obsidian did not find anyone there, except a phone with Alabama’s voice. Obsidian decided to rush to the bank.  Catherine was making dinner for his mom and brother, she hears a commotion and goes there, she found her mom and her brother laying on the ground. Alakazam comes from behind the curtain. ALAKAZAM: "A minor punch to the brain won’t kill someone." Catherine tries to calm herself.       Henry in magenta jumps from behind her.      ALAKAZAM: "Here comes Mr. Negative. You know, how it is like in superheroes, there are two villains working together, the brain and the brawl and you know who is who."     CATHERINE: “Of course, someone like you, who can't stand a small insult."             ALAKAZAM: "I don't know how you take it but embrace it and become something bigger than me."       Something hits Alakazam from behind.      MR. NEGATIVE: "He is here."         Obsidian comes and kicks Alakazam from behind.    ALAKAZAM: "Finally, the showdown I was waiting for Kid show this man your true self."        Mr. Negative takes out a stick and spins and it turns to nan-shaku.             ALAKAZAM: "It can do a lot more than that."     Catherine moves towards Obsidian and Obsidian charges towards Mr. Negative, both get in a one-on-one fight. Mr. Negative threw Obsidian from the window and he jumped down and used his stick and turned into a grappling rope.      MR. NEGATIVE: "I call this NegaStick."      OBSIDIAN: "Is everything related to you guys is comical." They fight more and finally; Obsidian gets upper and grabs his collar. Alakazam comes and shows Obsidian that he is holding Catherine.             ALAKAZAM: "It’s about damn time. Either you kill Negative or I am going to kill her, one of them will DIE, I get to be the one you hate most, fear the most."        OBSIDIAN: "I can't kill someone, it is about you and me, not her."              ALAKAZAM: "Gonne count till 5, kill him or I'll kill her. Either it's your moral or your love."        In between, Henry opens his eyes and hears him and feels bad, he stealthily uses his nematic and hits him on his hand. He drops Catherine and Obsidian manages to grab her. Her brother gains consciousness and grabs Alakazam. Soon, the cops arrive and arrest him and Henry.       OBSIDIAN: “Consider Henry to be a victim, he may improve but for Allen, I don't see any progress."      The police leave and so does he. After an hour, he comes to Catherine's home as Edward and talks to her.    EDWARD: “After these events, I came to two conclusions. I’ll not only be restricted tonight but try to a day hero as much as I can and wanted to be with you and be that same team, same couple."             Catherine smiles and hugs him.            POST CREDIT SCENE       Allen is sitting and eating food with Henry.    HENRY: “Can I call you dad; I need one and want it to be you." Allen agrees, someone comes and sits next to Allen.  STRANGER: "I heard they called you Alabama had a name too." ALLEN: “What was that."           

STRANGER: “There was dude, called him Awesome, put me here, by the way, call me TAZERVOLT."
