We were all ready. Our bags were packed.

It really was a dream come true. A trip to Surat with friends. Yes, Surat is not far but for someone who was rarely allowed to be out of the house I was excited. My friends had booked the ticket for our 3 days stay.

We took a bus to Surat and reached by 4 in the morning. After a lot of hassle with the rickshawala we finally were able to get to our rented flat. But we didn't have the keys to it. So one of my friends kept calling the apartment owner and to our horror, she didn't pick up. So as we were young and dumb we waited outside the apartment till 10 am.

A while later a lady who stayed on the first floor invited us inside. All of us went to freshen up while others left to bring some breakfast. We decided to not call and worry our parents rather we'd try to book another room in the meantime. If only we're unable to do so, we'll return to Nasik, back home the same day itself.

After a lot of hullabaloo we rented up another flat in the same apartment. We went inside and thanked the lord for this. Just then the lady on the first floor started scaring us with a suicide story linked with the apartment. Before she could freak us out more my friend pushed her out. We were actually tired and hungry and our appearance was showing it. Survival at an unknown place is really terrible.

3 days passed way sooner than we imagined. It was about time to leave and take our bus and I tell you looking out of the window with a earphone it really feels like you are in a movie.

I never knew this was a start of many more such travels. Each time a new entry was added. Each time every place taught me something new. Be it a village called Sidhpur in India or the city of Cairo in Egypt. And so these will forever be noted in my diary of life.
