A guppy ghost

When I returned from my hometown, I decided to start fish farming here too.

But I didn't know how to go about it.

I checked online shopping sites and found good prices.

I decided to buy it anyway.

After all, it was a dream, wasn’t it?

God, knowing my desire, gifted me a fish tank.

Now, all I needed was to buy the fish.

Then I bought the fish—8 guppies, 2 mollies, and 2 suckerfish. I was so happy setting everything up. Meanwhile, two of the guppies gave birth. From then on, my main task became watching over the babies. Occasionally, I recorded videos and uploaded them to YouTube.

But somehow, one of the suckerfish died.

A week later, the other one died too.

Meanwhile, two more guppies became pregnant.

Seeing their bellies grow made me so happy.

Days went by, but the guppies didn’t give birth.

I wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was because of the cold water due to the AC in the room?

Their bellies kept growing.

One day, I saw one guppy struggling as if her belly was about to burst.

Suddenly, I saw her belly burst, and the babies started coming out one by one.

She hid among some plants.

While all this was happening, I had to go out. When I returned, the fish was still there.

I tried to nudge her, but she was lying lifelessly.

It was a horrifying moment. I was so scared.

Eventually, I took her out and discarded her outside. Then I went to bed.

But I couldn’t sleep.

Her image kept haunting me.

It was as if the fish was standing right in front of me.

I kept seeing the bloated belly, round like a ball, bursting open as the babies came out.

I saw the mother fish rising to the surface of the water.

She kept coming back, bursting open, and rising again.

It felt like some kind of ghost haunting me, shaking and scaring me, stealing my sleep.
