Chapter 40

John was looking at the photos clicked with Roslyn and his eyes widened, dumbstruck he kept tapping on Sandeep’s shoulder, “what happened?” asked Sandeep... “look…” John said and showed him the mobile. Sandeep couldn't believe his eyes “Gho... Ghoo... Ghost dude” he screamed... “Where is the ghost?? What’s happening guys??” Questioned Narayan who came back after sending off his brother... “Look at these pictures” said Sandeep as he grabbed the phone from John's hand and gave it to Narayan.

Narayan who has already seen the ghost wasn't much surprised at the pictures. “I am confused.. you said Roslyn is alive and Sandeep says this picture was clicked with Roslyn but I can only see a ghost standing beside you... Does that mean Roslyn is the ghost? Does that mean you met the ghost today?" “Nooo” screamed John, “look at the other pictures” too he said. Narayan swiped left to see other photos and he could clearly see an image standing beside John and Roslyn in almost all the pictures. It was the same image I saw in the CCTV record “all these while we thought it's Roslyn now I wonder who the ghost could be”. 

“Let's not waste our time, it is important to find out who the ghost is? And why it’s behind John?” Said Sandeep... “Yes!! Let's go to office and take a good look at that magazine again, I will tell you who the ghost is..” All three were heading back to office.

John accompanied Narayan in his car and Sandeep followed them on the bike... Narayan was too curious to know what had happened with Roslyn and where was she all these years, John was telling him about all that while on the way to the office.

They were waiting for the elevator... it wasn't working. “I think we should take stairs” said Sandeep.“No ways!!! our office is in the 13th floor” said Narayan. John said “Narayan, you stay here I will go get the magazine”... Narayan was ok with it... John and Sandeep were climbing stairs, both became tired, they were breathing heavily... John stopped in the 7th floor very tired with all the climbing, Sandeep pulled him saying “come on John let's go bring the magazine”... As they kept climbing Sandeep slipped and rolled down from almost 4 steps he even hurt his head, John said “you stay here and I will go get the magazine” but Sandeep didn't want John to go alone so he decided to go along even though his head hurt... Finally they reached 13th floor and John took Sandeep to his desk.

John tried to open the draw in which the magazine was but it was locked... He kept murmuring “key, key where is it? Oh god noo!!!” screamed John, “The key is in my laptop bag at home!”. “What do we do now?” asked Sandeep... John said “Cool, let me check with the front office guys, they will have spare keys”... John was heading towards the reception he tried to open the door but it was locked, he shouted from inside for help though the security was seated in the other side of the door, he couldn't hear, John kept knocking the door but all his attempts failed... "Don't you feel there’s something fishy going on?" Questioned Sandeep... “What do you mean?” asked John, “firstly elevator was jammed, Then I fell down, now your draw is locked and this door is locked too and though the security is just opposite to us, he can't hear us... Don't you feel like the ghost is stopping us?”

John looked around, there was no one in the office, he started knocking and crying for help but all in vain... Sandeep held John's hand tight and said “how do we go out now?” For few seconds John kept silent he then pushed Sandeep's hand and shouted on top of his voice "Why the hell are you behind me!! I don't need any of your help without knowing who you are, just leave me alone or show me who you are!!" 

John and Sandeep heard a lion’s roar. It was so loud they closed their ears and crouched down. From nowhere their college magazine fell at John's feet. As he leaned forward to take it, the door swung open and the roar slowly faded away... John picked up the magazine and they both sprinted towards the elevator. They both got out of elevator panting as they handed over the magazine to Narayan.

John helped Narayan to the page in which Roslyn's photo was, there were 2 other photos in the page... Narayan pointed out to a girl's picture and said, “she is the one... The one with "Blue Eyes".
