I slept in Grandma's room. I came to the hall to drink water at midnight.

It was Diwali season and every place on the street is filled with the smell of crackers and sweets.

I can listen to Papa and Mom talking.

How can we say to him? Papa asked Mom.

Mom looks confused a bit.

You sleep Madhu. I will try to convince him.

I am a failure, Radha. I did not even save money for crackers. All I got is a pair of clothes for him.

He asked me to bring new shoes, Chota Bheem T-Shirt, Crackers and much more for Diwali.

I have thought they will give a salary before Diwali. My planning got disturbed.

Papa's tone is weak.

It's okay Madhu. It happens. Don't be so self-blaming.

I can tell him that Papa will bring everything for birthday.

Now, Sleep.

Tomorrow is Diwali. We have to get up earlier.

Mom told so confidently and made papa sleep.

I have listened to everything while Mom and Papa talking.

The next day Mom came to me and given me new clothes.

Papa I don't want to lit crackers.

Why Chota Bheem? Papa asked me doubtfully.

My class teacher told using crackers causes more pollution to the environment. Cows, Dogs and other pets get fear.

So I don't want to lit the crackers for Diwali. We will only lit lamps.

I said in a joyous tone.

Mera Beta is a good boy Mama said.

We both went to the kitchen to taste payasam made by Grandma.

There is wetness observed in Papa's eyes in the light

of Diwali lamps.I think Papa is happy.
