Raj works in a steel factory in Raigarh. He does shift duties and has the usual daily routine of a salaried person.

On 1st June, this year, he felt a little uneasy in breathing and had given his sample for Corona test. He was Corona positive.

He was admitted to the Covid hospital, in Raigarh. He got up at 6 am in the next morning and did pranayam and a few exercises which were suggested by his doctor. Then he was served tea. The tea was good. Then breakfast followed after which he started talking on the phone with his family members living in Sambalpur.

His doctor then came on his usual round. He asked about his health and how he was feeling here. He checked his medicines and told him to take them on time. All the doctors and nurses wore full covid uniforms.

That day on June 2, a migrant worker gave birth to a baby boy in the hospital. She had returned to her village Raksa in Sarangarh area from Jammu and Kashmir and had tested positive on June 1. The condition of both mother and son was stable and the infant's sample would also be sent for covid test.

This news spread a vibe of happiness in the hospital. All were happy as a newborn baby was born that day.

After lunch, Raj took a little nap and then watched the Mirzapur web series on his phone, in the evening.

He checked his WhatsApp messages and chatted with his friends. At night he ate chappati and dal and then took his medication. Finally, he went to sleep after wishing good night to his parents and sister on phone.

He hopes to return to work after a fortnight. His first day in the covid hospital was nice and memorable. He was feeling a lot better now.
