A Cool Summer Morning: My First Writing

It's 6'o clock in the morning and soon after I opened my balcony door, the cool breeze entered my room gently touching my face. I loved the feeling of the fresh air on my face. The sun is out looking like a gargantuan orange ball. The warmth of the sun's rays greeted me as they brushed across my face and passed into my room. I opened the door completely and took my diary to pen down my thoughts.

I sat in a corner, where ants were crawling across me. In front of me, there were my potted plants, having the flowers open in one of the pots. It's a beautiful bloom with orange coloured firecracker flowers with deep orange shade inside, so refreshing to see them. I started counting the number of flowers opened, noticing a few buds were ready to blossom. Suddenly, a pigeon flew into my balcony and sat on the wall staring at me, moved two to three steps forward and flew away. I returned to the pot and continued to count the opened flowers, finishing it, I moved on to the other pot having tomato plants with pretty blood-red fruits, spreading its branches in all directions taking the support of an aloe vera plant adjacent to it. Meanwhile, I could hear a small bird chirping somewhere and a group of pigeons flew off across a building. The sky looked as if on fire with risen sun and I still hear the birds chirping. This view made me peaceful and refreshing.

I moved over to the balcony wall and looked down at the street having few buildings along the lane and a busy road with passing vehicles. An auto passed away by making its own sound, maybe the auto man was going to pick up the school children. I returned to my potted plants, continued counting tomatoes, totally there were fourteen fully riped fruits.

All of a sudden, I became conscious of getting inside to prepare breakfast for my 2-year-old son who was sleeping in the bedroom. I peeped inside from the window and saw him tangled in sheets rolling over in bed, few hairs covered his forehead, looking pretty with his rosy cheeks and red lips. He wore a blue sleeveless t-shirt with red and ash coloured trousers, that has an elephant picture printed on it. He woke up from his deep sleep and then immediately fell back asleep beside his teddy. The warm sunlight streamed into the room through the window, fell upon the bed touching my son's little feet.

Ooops!!!.... it has been too late, I should go for my daily workout and prepare some breakfast for my kid. I ended up writing my diary and moved on to my work.

It was a cool summer morning...
