You, my dear
You, my dear
The dreams had seemed to fade away,
Getting lost somewhere,
Into the oblivion of unknowingness,
As I sat on the shores that day.
Glancing towards the stormy skies,
The dark ones, hoping for a miracle,
Which would pour
Some drops of love, on my barren heart,
Which had been gasping for,
A single breath of affection.
A drop of tear slid across my cheek,
In quest of this unrequited dream,
As I kept glancing towards the skies that day,
Which seemed to pour rains,
On the dusty sand, any time.
And, so they did. I had been waiting for
The same miracle to mesmerize my soul,
My parched heart, when you entered,
The realm of my life, and simply,
Enraptured my soul, with an enigma,
Really quaint, yet, so very bewitching.
It was as though, the heavens had plotted,
For you to enchant my life,
Not with a whisk of love, a drizzle,
That I had been awaiting for, but,
You have showered my life,
With a love, never felt before, making me yearn,
For your captivating affection even more.
It is as though, your soul has entwined with mine,
Or perhaps, they had been together,
Much before, we even met.
And now that, we have each other,
Neither the stormy skies, as I had seen,
The other day, nor the most dreadful of the
Scorching suns, would ever detach us.
For you, my dear, are the oasis
In the barren desert of my heart,
The plentiful rain in its scorched veins.
You my dear, are my love.
