Woman Of Today

Teetering off the edge of a glass cliff or stuck to a sticky floor,

Lost in a labyrinth, firewalls or glass door,

Throughout the journey, it has shook her to the core,

Still she wants to explore the unpaved path as never before.

It could be her marriage or job,

She does not want to live life like a slob,

Although struggling to find her footing,

She juggles between different roles with her face always smiling.

In spite of her dedication and hard work,

She gets left out of social bonding over a pint,

She misses out the crucial discussions had over a fag,

It definitely brings her down, what a drag!

She holds multiple feathers in her cap,

Can swap between being traditional and modern role in a snap,

Capable of being at equal ease and no complain,

She can hold a glass of milk or a glass of champagne.

Being a female, woman or lady;

It is a matter of birth, age and choice.

She does not like to be compared with man,

So, wants to live like an independent human.

Her voice is becoming a roar,

Unstoppable and limitless with unwavering determination,

She is the revolution,

Woman of today is a warrior at war with life.
