When weekends are here

Weekends are something 

Everyone looks forward to.

As they've their own resolutions,

Or plans to perform during weekends,

Plans which can't be carried out

During weekdays, which keep

Them too busy with their mundane work.

I wonder how two days a week

Dominate over the rest of the five days

Are we not excited about the work

That we do during weekdays?

Why does the weekend give more

Power of freedom, a ray of hope

To govern our lives in our own way?

Since it's a weekend today, 

I can relax, watch my favourite series

Plan time for my hobbies 

And reflect on the actions

And the purpose of my life.
