Weekend....

When I was a child

   Busy with my study and play,

I had no choice with me

   But, to listen to elders and obey.

I heard elders talking and planning

   About their weekend days,

I wonder sometimes

   As I had no weekend to enjoy.

I grew older and was in college

   And loved to explore my age,

I had lovely friends of mine

   Thought with them to spend weekend days.

But still, I wonder about the weekend

   As my friends had no time,

They all made their own plans

   And I was thinking how to spend mine?

Then I met with my lady of love

   She was very nice and beautiful,

I always loved to be with her

   And our togetherness was wonderful.

She was also from my college

   We met each other on week days,

I was still wondering about the weekend

   And delighted, when she made plan with me for weekend days.

We spend our weekend together

   We made each moment to remember,

We had our long drive trips

   We walked on riverbanks holding hands of each other.

Then the deadly day of separation came

   She left me and married another,

I still have my weekend

   To be alone and my eyes with tear.
