We Were One Once Again
We Were One Once Again
The stage was decorated beautifully
The auditorium was packed fully
Two dancers were performing rhythmically,
Over a romantic duet.
All but four eyes were focused on them.
It was a sudden and stunning happening,
That we both notice each other's presence,
At the same spot after so many years,
Where we met first.
I noticed,
That your eyes were eager,
To see me, ask me something,
But tongue was hesitant to say anything.
The same conditions were there with me.
Good glances and silent smiles,
Went on killing all grievances,
Slowly but certainly
From two attached and separated souls.
The program ended,
I dared to move towards you,
You dared to spread your right hand,
For a warm handshake.
All grievances were gone,
Out of the two souls,
We were one once again.
