UNCERTAIN ROADS
UNCERTAIN ROADS
In a corner of the city street,
A beggar's wails fill the air with defeat.
Tears flow down her wrinkled cheek
Her heart shattered, and her soul so weak.
Her tears were a torrential rain,
As she wept for her child, the gift of a cruel night.
Taken away in a night to repeat the same fate.
Her guiding light now gone, leaving her a sunless future.
Is the loss a relief for the child
From a life of struggle and endless grief?
Or is it a never-ending pain she has to bear,
A bitter burden leaving her heart so heavy?
In the depths of her grief-stricken soul,
She found a glimmer, a sliver of hope,
For in the streets, a young girl begging for mercy,
Her heart deeply scarred, her tears echoed her own.
Their tears have a story to tell-
Of promises full of lies and deceit.
She held her tender but rough hands,
And walked together on roads, uncertain.
