TRYING

In a world of books and dreams, she strives,

A child with hope, ambition in her eyes,

With every test, she gives her all,

Seeking their praise, their hearts to enthrall.

But her parents' eyes remain unimpressed,

Their expectations leaving her distressed,

Yet in her heart, determination holds strong,

For she knows she's capable, where she belongs.

With each setback, she still stands tall,

Hoping one day they'll see it all,

Her worth is not in grades alone,

But in the spirit she has shown.

Though they may not understand her quest,

She'll keep on trying, doing her best,

For deep within, she knows the truth,

Her passion and love will be her proof.

So she'll keep on learning, reaching for the sky,

A child's spirit soaring high,

And though their pride may not be near,

Her inner strength will persevere.
