True Love

I met a stranger lately,

And fell for him immediately;

I told him, I will love him with all my heart,

Will never leave him alone, till death do us apart.

Suddenly he asked,

Do you really know what is love?

Of course, I said,

It is the most precious gift from God above!

He smiled and said,

No, the meaning of love has changed a lot,

Your kind of love,

People have almost forgot.

Nobody cares for the beauty of

The heart and soul,

Now-a-days physical beauty,

Plays the most important role.

Hearing him, I felt very sad;

But insisted, believe me,

My kind of love

Is not that bad.

Trust me, in all ups

And downs of your life,

I will be by your side;

Between us,

There will be nothing to hide.

The day I die,

With me my beauty will be gone;

But the deep love that I have for you

Will never die,

With you it will stay on.

Beauty may change, but love will not;

One day even you will start

To believe in the love,

Which the world has forgot.
