Trapped in Queer Quarantine
Trapped in Queer Quarantine
The heart is tied in chains and the soul is slumbering in pain
The seed seems to get uprooted and the boughs are losing their true essence.
The open gateways of love that unfolded a beautiful wide horizon.
Seem to solidify and have vowed never to bloom as radiant sunflowers!
Perceive the world behind bars wherein the origin is at stake.
The roots are dipped in despair and the twigs seem to be cruelly chopped off.
Look at the craving creepers that long for a soft shower.
And the walls, bricks, and stones that seem to die for retrieval!
Quarantine has landed humans on a plethora of isolation.
With no one to lend a shoulder and none to reach out with pride
None to hold you with strong armsAnd none to chat… talk or even to share!
You see…perhaps the birds have forgotten their zeal to fly
And the fishes seem to change the direction of their dive
The bees and the butterflies have ceased to profoundly buzz
And the host of humans have obliterated to simply smile!
Come…let’s join hearts and inhale a gush of pure air
Touch the chords of one’s belonging and
Spread the message of unison with our unspoken but caring acts
That shall surely reign upon the land and the eternal hemisphere!
May the Alma matter be blessed by our sane virtues
And may every speck of the ground feel indebted to its inhabitants
For the service before self-imbibed by every soul
Through which we render true obligations towards the soil!
