Silence is Beautiful

Her sad eyes are full of distorted emotions

Yet each day she conceals with a bright smile across her face

Her feet moves swiftly away from crowds to avoid being interrogated

When all is clear she wanders off to her favorite spot by the sea

Her heart lies on the ocean bed for that's where life ended for him

She talks to the breeze and sings to the wind

Hoping her voice would be carried across the sea to the place where her heart lies

It's been years since that cold July night so many years ago

Disaster struck and a ship went down taking the love of her life

Rescue party found no life for all had gone with the ship

In silence she has lived to a ripe age 

Their children all grown each their own family to care for

Yet in her mind she holds onto her love 

For it blooms every July when she wanders down to the shores to sing to the wind

Silence is beautiful for none but her knows her mind

Her deepest secrets are well kept away from the ears

Her pain she conceals with a laugh 

For silence is now her best friend
