'They' Cry, I Weep
'They' Cry, I Weep
Coming to terms with the harsh reality
Of this world that I live in
Where they seem to be philanthropic for one moment
And in the next, they tend to give in
Donating large sums, riches with pride
To see their names on "le mur éclairé"
Without realizing the real want; they just hide
What I see as I step outside,
Is a view so disturbing that it moistens my eyes?
You better check your facts
Before engulfing what the journalists feed your brains with:
Those newsrooms are filled with that 'green heap'
To fuel the lies into reality: how cheap!
It is hard to swallow this bitter truth:
Where you can afford to lead lavish lives
But, that miserable family of five
Has not a single penny to fund their hive
So, they sleep by the fireside
These are dual sides of the same coin
Here, poor is synonymous with melancholia
And the rich deepen this divide
Upon the befalling harmony, their hands they join...
