There's Still A Place
There's Still A Place
There's still a place
Where families sit together
On the newly cemented or formerly mud-washed floors
With pure water from handpumps or wells
To eat the food cooked and grown with love in the fields where happiness dwells.
There's still a place
Where people don't need alarms
As the sweet chirping of the birds is enough to wake them up
The first thing they do is to feel the Almighty
And that's why the people working in the scorching sun are no less than an energy hub.
There's still a place
Where children are still children
And for them taking the blessings of elders is the best thing to start the day
They love running, jumping, climbing, falling and again getting up
Because for them mobile phone is not a thing to play.
There's still a place
Where hundreds of families celebrate together as one
And people adore natural beauty more than material wealth
Cattles dominate their partially metalled streets
And the vehicles are still less than the people you'll meet.
There's still a place
Where air is as pure as it was hundreds of years ago
Where night sky is full of stars, not dust
Where the field are filled with lush green crops
And the hearts with feelings of love and peace, not of disgust.
