The World's A Showcase

Humans, yes we are speaking, the flightless ones,

The speechless penguins you find in the Arctic 

Our new home seems like an attic, 

The new life is a bit hectic,chaotic..

But Alas! Who cares, we are just showpieces 

Showpieces in the world's showcase!

 You expect us to leave our abode,

Adjust to living in a place unknown, you want.

Us to be confined in an aquarium 

The explorers of endless chilly oceans?

Try to please us with bright stones and artificial plants

Compare the infinite ocean to a tight box

And social animals talk of animal rights!

But we've to remind ourselves, that we're nothing more than showpieces(to bemuse humans)

Knocking on the glass, you disturb our sleep

We are to wave our flippers, to amuse

But when we don't, we are of no use.

Changed our lives, at your whims and wills.

But you forget, we too have feelings......

Man, a social animal

We, just animals 

And our young ones...........captives for life!
