The Words That Changed
The Words That Changed
I felt, I hurt him with my words
And refrained from him
But he never gave up.
Month after month he poked
Until I asked, what I fail to see
And he quietly sat watching me guess.
Down to Earth he is so good
I requested to see my such good friend
And he fear to reveal himself.
His quietness aches me
But I wanted him to initiate
For months he did it beyond measure.
And I understood it's my turn
I called him with number unknown
His affirmation, I cherish deep down.
I finally called him
And he ignored for a while
But when he opened, eyes wept.
He never forgot even a word
Everything he precisely narrated
And his discernment I admire most
His words, 'Why did you take so long?'
Made me realize he was waiting for me to start
And I was expected him to initiate.
