The Survivor

The Survivor

He had been through a lot,

Worries, tensions, and what not.

But did not allow his own thought.

To fester and rot.

Life was like a pack of cards he said,

That god dealt you while you took birth;

Learn to make your own bed,

Or else you would be unfit on this earth.

I had learnt the lesson of my life,

Open your eyes when you see,

Look where you go when you walk,

Nothing in this world is free.

If anybody says it's free, it's loose talk.

I have seen life's maladies,

I have seen so many a tragedy,

I have seen life's comedies,

I know life can be a sarcastic parody.

I have seen people uncontrollably crying,

At losing someone who was dear,

I have seen people unnecessarily dying.

I have seen people living in dread in fear,

Of losing all they earned through years.

Of their own death of hiding their wealth.

Instead of enjoying life they have fears.

Then squander money on their health.

So my advice life is short live life,

So always be positive, be a happy giver.

Stop dancing on the edge of a knife.

You will then definitely be the survivor.
