The Reconciliation
The Reconciliation
The discordant chord struck,
Threatening the ties of marital harmony,
Creating Ill feelings as we lost each other,
As the Parting became imminent;
Our child looks at us in pain-filled
Sorrow,
Not knowing in his innocent mind;
That adults too behave like misguided children;
I remember those memorable moments,
When we walked around the holy fire,
We were made for each other,
In the symbolic union of two lives
Coming together,
The first night of my life, when you
Gently taught me,
The nuances and its variations of
Physical love.
But now over a period of years,
The charm and respect for each other has waned,
The excitement of love lost in a
Maze of incompatibility,
I wonder when this irrevocable decision for separation was made.
Our child in confusion stands amidst us,
Linking both his hands with us,
His eyes empty of youthful sparkle
And playfulness,
In a moment of introspection,
We realized the folly of our actions, our faults,
Reflected in his bearing, in the sadness his eyes,
We kneel down and hug him together,
Our eyes meet across each other,
Melting away the cobwebs of our misunderstanding,
In the shade of our marital bliss.
As we feel the vibrations of his love,
Coursing through his hands,
Linking us once again in happy reconciliation.
