The Old Big House
The Old Big House
I remember those days when the family used to come to stay
My house was big and there was so many to accommodate
I remember the sounds that used to fill up my home
Some singing, some talking, some playing
And I was not alone
That one month of the holiday I would always look forward to
As I could get some time to spend with you
The bonding grew stronger and relations mature
A promise to meet together every year for sure
That big house lies vacant and doors stay closed
There is no voice heard coming from indoors
Now I stay, yes! With you
No, wait for a year to see you.
I am now old, can't take care of you
The house is small, people are few
But somehow the clock shows no time
To spend for me and you.
