The Night Articulates

The Night Articulates

Adieu my summer comrades, off you go

For I have come with a new, shiny glow

Amidst the quiet hill in moonstruck sleet

And a small drizzle of water, with the rivers they meet

I have the coruscating moon and sparkling stars

I sway with the hazy tune of the strumming guitars

I have taken authority over the whole, wide world

I have tranquillised every sleeping boy and girl

But my beauty and existence in this world isn’t adorned

For most of my artefacts are seldom scorned

My marvel was always cherished with euphoria and glee

Now, I am under levity, which will save me?
