The Miracle Of My Mother
The Miracle Of My Mother
She watched me crawl,
She watched me fall,
Amazed was she,
When I grew so "tall".
She watched me fight,
Stayed awake at nights,
Packed my baggage,
When I took my "first" flight.
She became my nurse,
Took away my curse,
Paid my bills,
Out of drunkard dad's "murse".
She took those slaps,
And closed life's flaps,
And lived by society's notion
It takes two to "clap".
Her eyes still sparkle,
She says it's time to Markle,
As I "sleep" beside her,
After passing all debacles.
