The Melodious Voice
The Melodious Voice
You teach me how to forget love
The way you did
Unraveling caution shells of poems off me
You take the first shell off me
A crunch of dried leaves gushes around me where you smiled
You take the second shell off me
A gust of wind blew our candle of love melting it in pieces.
You take the third shell off me
A bowl of rain pours down on hungry souls which starved to death.
You take the fourth shell off me
A verve of loneliness kicks into my spine.
You take the fifth shell off me
Night gathers above my head and I watch a nightangle kissing moonlight.
In deep despair I tell her to sing songs but she sat quietly this time.
Maybe she sang in the most melodious voice this time - a sound of silence.
