The Lost Past

The Lost Past

2 mins
243

It was Dark,

Not the Clouds,

But Her Life,

As Dark as Night.

"So,here you are

You Garbage!",yelled

Her aunt.

She after cleaning,

The floor of

the room as gloomy as her heart

Headed towards

The crowded Mart.

Her weary eyes,

Noticed the Mirth

Of the little boys

Playing in the mud.

She saw a little girl,

Feeding the pigeons

Under a tree

And carrying a book in her hand.

It brought a Smile,

A Smile which was

Lost amidst the Darkness...

The vision brought happiness to her mind,

But the shadowy present is lurking behind.

Just as,

Shadows leave us when it's dark

She abandoned all hopes,

Because

Darkness is her new friend.

"Hey, you! What are you looking at?"

"Move!", said a customer.

She seemed to quiver,

And then recalled

Her present entrapment,

Which erased her

Beautiful past forever...

Carrying the empty bag,

Instead of a book

She headed,

Towards the Road

Which was less rode.
