The lasting moment

A train journey took me from Manchester to Stratford

Stratford upon Avon – the medieval town of my favorite writer

I imagined as I walked, what the streets may have been like in the bygone era

Stepping into the birthplace of Shakespeare, I soaked in the old world charm of the literary giant’s home

I reminisced the sonnets and the plays of the bard as I explored the church, the farm, the cottage, the trust and the like

I look back at that day each time I sit down to pen down my own thoughts

I may have bid adieu to the town

Yet I still hold the experience dear to me

It will remain the most cherished memory for the writer in me
