The Journey to Happiness

                              

The journey I began, seeking some pleasure and happiness

With an innocent heart in me, I walked down the lane.

 

I rambled in the daylight, searching for happiness as bright as the sunshine.

Joyously swirling around, my gaze fixed at the beautiful flowers drooping down

Fighting to be the most beautiful amongst them all,

I thought to myself; they are all beautiful in their own ways.

Acceptance is happiness!

With an innocent heart in me, I walked down the lane.

 

I strolled through the beautiful marshy land

Searching happiness as serene as these grass

Cheerily whirling around, I paused and noticed dews shining like a pearl on leaves

Fell to the earth and lose their existence

I thought to myself, why losing your shine in need of some more?

Contentment is happiness!

With an innocent heart in me, I walked down the lane.

 

I walked and reached a beautiful and dense forest

Searching happiness in its rustling winds

Cheerfully dancing, I found some birds moving and some in the nest

Clipped wings, so they weren’t flying

Teary-eyed, I thought to myself, why not soaring high when you can dream

Freedom is happiness!!

Neither a journey nor a destination, the state of mind it is
