The heart of India

The heart of India

High above, the Himalayas stand,
With snowy crowns upon the land,
They guard the valleys green and deep
While ancient secrets there they keep,

The Ganges flows with silver grace,
To touch the earth's most holy place.
From temple bells to desert sand,
The pulse of life beats through the land.

A thousand colors fill the street,
Where old and new vibrant meet.
From saffron glow to emerald hue,
The tricolor waves in skies of blue.

The scent of spice and monsoon rain,
Brings joy to every field and grain,
With many tongues and many ways,
We lift our voice in songs of praise.

A land of peace, a land of light,
That shimes through every dark of night
O India, so proud and free,
A home for all you'll always be.
