The Grandeur of the Syce and his White Stallions
The Grandeur of the Syce and his White Stallions
There holds a syce a pair of stallions
So grand, so majestic, so beautiful,
You groomed them and here they are
In your possession forever.
They know not their master
Your pamper and temper is
What they love you for and so
You put the reins and girth for their gait.
They neigh and nag you for love
A gentle pat and touch on the mane
The groom can only offer them
After a long gallop from the distant lands.
Your stare at me expresses the depth
The concern and love for them
The blinders that are put on them
Signals the intention and attention you desire.
O well-groomed syce of the white beauty
And the unsettling one-eye-raised groom,
Come here someday from this wall of fame
Sit here and speak to meyour love for them.
