THE FORSAKEN ONE
THE FORSAKEN ONE
Lost and wandering through the desert alone,
It pains my heart to call none of you my own.
Friends and families all turned a grim face,
Left me with memories of the finest days.
Dragons and dreams all filled my head,
Oh, how I longed for a sleep in my bed!
Death I longed to end all that's been said,
Hid Death for he enjoyed the agony in my head.
Dragons fled and dreams shattered,
And life it seems no more to matter.
Death may free from life, the thought occurred.
But does it free me from myself?
Cried and wailed for God to show,
Mercy on my soul on the earth below,
But He too like others turned a blind ear,
And all along i thought we were all his dear.
Stone, crush, hate and beat me,
Burn me alive for I should like to see,
Can love save me, no, cast me into the sea,
For I am the Forsaken One and I shan't plea.
