THE FIRE WITHIN
THE FIRE WITHIN
Have you enjoyed a hungry stomach?
But I have, not once...
There are many such out there,
Battling hunger the whole day
With a prolonged slumber.
Have you ever tasted loneliness
That tastes bitter than bitrex?
But I have, even among many.
Many are such, hungry for care and company.
Be not blind, not even to a little one.
Have pointed fingers questioned you-
Your integrity and sincerity?
They have, since birth, also of the world.
Many are trained for it;
Never shall they forget the lessons.
Have stares torn your heart?
I am mending my heart still to recover
From the hurt they callously inflicted.
Eyes narrate stories, beautiful
But they kill too, like poison.
The fire within lets one soar high,
Even if stumbled a hundred times.
Some falls are lessons too,
That even the erudite may fail to learn.
That's life, the creator of twists and turns.
