The Enigma of Corona Virus

There is a world -wide panic, and a frenzied rush                                    

To discover a medicine, to combat Corona Virus.                                   

  It’s said, it is deadlier than the dreaded Swine Flu.                           

  What the source is, no one has the slightest clue.

                                

 It is deadly, because like fire, it spreads very fast.                 

 Symptoms and complications might also be vast.               

Scientists believe it has come from snakes, or bats.                    

 For once the culprits are not the infamous rats!

Seven types are there, of the virulent Corona Virus.                 

Few names in short are SARS, Covid-19 and MERS.                  

  It has created a tumult, akin to a global upheaval;                   

 To find an antidote, the initial attempt has been feeble

.

Woe- be-tide! If you have a cold and want to sneeze,          

You will be hand- cuffed, if any one hears you wheeze;         

 You will lose your freedom, and be in strict quarantine                

 Two weeks in isolation-- in public you daren’t be seen!

The Virus has dared to invade the Holy Vatican- Rome!            

With fear people are stirring up a global pandemonium.                                

 Though the symptoms might be just a cough and cold;           

Yet vulnerable are they who are sickly, infirm and old.

With strict restrictions on trade, business is at a stand- still,

International air travel being barred, and borders too sealed.

Stock Markets have dipped, manufacturing has made a dive;

We must be practical; to maintain rationality we must strive.

The world is nearly paralyzed; a tiny virus has so much might      

 To stall the entire world’s working; apologetic for its plight!

Rules are simple, “Wash hands, and don’t touch your face.”

Thus we can wipe out the Mischief-maker without any trace!
