The End Of Love

The End Of Love

A single truth that shone above a thousand lies

The one tale my lips can never again tell

You always stayed deep in my eyes

Like a teardrop that never fell..

Like an old, sad, beautiful song

That I had long ceased to sing

Words once so sweet, now plainly wrong

The tune forlorn, tugging at the heart string

As I watch the waves rush charging along

Wiping out our memories from the sands of time

I wonder again why things went so wrong

When did our love turn into a crime

Wrung apart forever from you

My life now resembles the dying sun

Wavering in face of the final adieu

While we accept the world has finally won

Love accepts no vice, no disguise

It can tower over every reason till its dying breath

Yet suffering the agony of the world's lies

Slowly and painfully it bleeds to death..
