The Dance Of Love

The Dance Of Love

1 min
119

Love is the mystery of a faraway land,

Embedded in the cluttered thoughts of sand.

Distant memories knock on the doorway,

Why does the mind then sway?

When the bells in the mind ring,

When the birds in the garden sing,

Do we hear love’s refrain?

Or do we still endure pain?

Is silence the insignia of the distance?

Or has noise been heard since?

Sweet are the sounds of love,

On the boat of a sailor’s love.

The moonlit night sets the tone,

Even the stars have long shone.

The quest for love is eternal,

But the wait is a mere lull.

The taverns of love run dry,

Since there is no soul to cry.

Is love on a long slumber,

No one has its number.

Will the wait bear fruit?

Of the tree, we do not find even the root.

Who will search for the love that is lost,

And at what cost.

Be merry that one day love will return,

And everglades of joy will it churn.

Hope is where the heart is,

Of which love it but the bliss.
