The Crown Of Thorns
The Crown Of Thorns
The Crown of thorns how significant
That they placed upon Christ's head
The cruel works of men's own workings
Could not displace the love He had
The proof of which He prayed to His father
Father forgive them for what they do
They have no inkling of the forgiveness
That a heart can have in knowing You
You placed my life upon an altar
To be raised up that men might see
Though the weight of sin was placed upon Him
He put it to death at Calvary
For in grand fashion three days later
When they came to the tomb at early sunrise
They were greeted by heavenly angels
Who were to share a wonderful surprise
He is not here for He has risen
Go tell the disciples what you have heard
You have not found a dying Saviour
But you shall find the living Lord
What a story now tongues were telling
Hallelujah Christ arose!
He has arisen as He promised...
And as for death!???... He has been overthrown!!!
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
