The Corner
The Corner
Sitting in my corner
The darkness of the room
With the moon peeping
Through the curtains
And twirling stars on me
I remember the times
We walked by the lake
Holding hands teasing
Laughing as if no one was there
Like kids, we played that day
I remember days when you
Surprised me flowers
Or an unplanned lunch
Dinner sometimes breakfast
Sometimes we went shopping
I remember the times
You would call me up
And say you would pick me up
And I would hurry and chase out the door
We would go for long drives
Sing and laugh
Dance and enjoy
Every moment
In each other company
I remember when you
would drop me off
And wait to see me walk in my door
If you didn't walk me to the door
Or came in with me
I remember the times
We would take
Long late night street walks
And never feel tired
We would walk and walk
I remember when we hold hands and walk
Sometimes even sing and dance on the street
Very late in the night
We were sober but drunk in the arms of each other
I remember all the times
We spent together
All happy times
Memorable moments
Now I long for those days
Such beautiful times
Such precious moments
How I wish for those times
Now just a sweet memory.
