The Conflict
The Conflict
Oh yes, the debate being ceaseless,
The conflict undying.
Wish there is an expert,
To solve the intricated conflict.
Both of them being mistifying,
I wonder when will it end.
Oh the heart and mind,
One says yes,
While the other says no.
The voice of your heart,
Whispering loudlyfrom a distance,
Love'em all while you can,
As gentle as a falling leaf.
But now all I can hear,
My mind seeking to destroy the love,
Even before it blossoms.
Love awakens you,
Makes you vulnerable,
Says the mind.
But the heart confronts,
Your one last hope for joy.
My heart gets the final say,
In a small whisper it says,
It's better to live than to hate,
Better to ache than to not feel at all,
Better to grieve than not have it at all,
Better to live than not be at all.
I know,
This is getting out of control,
But isn't this the way it's meant to be?
