The Common Element
The Common Element

This pain seems unending
Pain doesn’t seem like a stranger
However, pleasure- an acquaintance, a guest
Pain seems real and somewhat palpable
Pleasure doesn’t, rather it feels like it would go away,
And not sustainable
Pain is a mystery like it's beckoning you to search for something,
To pause and reflect
It’s a territory that if entered with a certain willingness, epiphanies happen
Enter it with curiosity, with new-found strength
By accepting it, by embracing it
Because we don't have much choice there, do we?
Pain seems real, pain seems nearer
Pain with a reason is powerful, it's liberating
Have you felt that?
Now
Don’t confuse it with suf
fering
This is not suffering; this is strength from the pain
Things that are sweeter now, tastes bitter tomorrow
Frustration, stress, regret, feeling of unease and nuances of it,
That we all have experienced, is suffering
More importantly, when you have no direction, you suffer even more
It’s like everybody is shooting at you, and you can’t do much about; losing control
Pursuing deliberate pain NOW
Transforms into peace and intensely gratifying later on
We must have a cause
Pleasure is just an illusion
Conscious pain is the path to greatness
We all make sacrifices here, that’s inevitable
Either you go for greatness or you settle for what it is
That’s ours to choose.
