A majestic soul took 

gentle stand

Buddha's compassion, 

a guiding light

Illuminating paths,

 through darkest night

With every step, 

a new dawn broke

Selfless love, the 

world's heart spoke

Renunciation's noble creed

Echoing freedom, in 

every deed

Through ancient lands, 

his message flowed

A universal call, 

humanity's road

Utkal, Kalinga, 

Odisha's pride

Remembering his glory,

 hearts abide

Nirvana's essence, 

pure and bright

A bhikshu's life, 

shining with delight

With every breath,

 a new beginning

The universe's rhythm, 

his heart keeps spinning

For the downtrodden, 

he stood tall

Equality and peace,

 for one and all

His legacy shines, 

a beacon high

Inspiring generations,

 touching the sky

Ashoka, Mahendra, 

Sanghamitra too

Carried his torch,

 a new world anew

Through ages passed,

 his spirit remained
